This is the true sign of spring.

Dirty and bulbous and really, Jen, just what the hell is that thing?

He’s starting to sprout. At this rate, we’ll be pulling rhubarb by mid-April. I still have 40 (yes, forty) cups of chopped rhubarb in my freezer from last summer.
Pray for me. It’s going to be a long summer.
