I’ve been dreading it.

I’ve known it’s coming.

Doesn’t make it any easier.

We’re about to begin the 5 month stretch of hell known as “Tom’s WTF travel schedule.”

See, he doesn’t usually travel all that often, but when he does, it comes in hot and heavy spurts (and holy hell, that’s gonna bring out the Googlers…). Until March or so, he’s traveling about 1/3 of each month. A few days here, a few days there. He says it’s not all fun and games for him either, since the work on his desk doesn’t come to a complete halt while he’s gone, and he’s right. But my work is doubled when he’s gone, and then some.

So, let’s lift a glass to “TWTFTS,” ’cause it’s gonna be a long winter.

(disclaimers: 1. Yes, I’m very grateful he has a job in this economic climate. 2. Yes, discussing hubby’s travel schedule on the internets is iffy at best; note I didn’t say when he’s gone. 3. There was a three, but I can’t remember it…it’ll come to me Sunday during the long prayer.)
