The month’s theme: Once More Into the Breach.
Today is the first day of November, which marks the return of two delightful things in my life: Peppermint Mochas at Starbucks (oooh, imagine my surprise and delight this morning!…and should not have looked at those nutritionals…) and the crazy-making chaos that is NaBloPoMo. I can’t believe how long I’ve done National Blog Posting Month. Six years? Really? January will mark eight years of this blog, so wow.
What will this month bring?
Thrills! Spills! Chills! Something-to-do-with-homeschooling-or-gifted-kids-that-ends-in-“ills!” Also rants and raves and book reviews and probably at least one filler post when I am hauling tired ass through the day and don’t have it in me to write. I’m hopeful this is the stick to the rump that gets me writing again, more frequently and with more intelligent intent (aka, not writing mindless crap…like this post…hmm…).
I’m open to suggestions for the month, not open to unsolicited guest post offers unless you’re also offering a hefty sum (sick to death of what is essentially spam, and if that makes me a bitch, I’ll own that), and do let me know if you’re also participating in this month-long craziness.
Here’s to setting huge audacious goals during the holiday season!
(Also, seriously, that Peppermint Mocha did wonders for my mood this morning. I haven’t seen the sun for at least four days, I damn near rang my kid’s bell this morning trying to get the two of us out the door to co-op, and I have little patience lately with anything. So an unexpected overly-caloric Christmas-themed coffee drink cheered me up considerably.)
I need a stick to the rump too. This is my first NaBlo, but since I’m doing NaNo as well, I may need two sticks ….. I’m am SOOO going to Starbucks RIGHT NOW…. thanks for the advice! ð
NaNo AND NaBlo? Hope you asked for a double at Starbucks. ð
Glad you’re doing it again!
I’m baaaaack…
YESSSSSSS!!!!!! ð
I’m participating in NaBloPoMo as well. Yay us!! I always write random things haha. Maybe I should put more thought into it.
