Tomorrow, if you look at a calendar, is All Kids’ Holiday. This is also known as April Fools Day, the day for which my sons pine all year long. This is also known as Mom Does Not Have a Sense of Humor Day, because Mom was the inadvertent victim of a rather nasty prank on that day, lo those 13 years ago. If you care to read the sordid details, you may read the play by play that I wrote several years ago.
I’m trying to convince the boys that if a prank is played on me, the perpetrator will not get a birthday gift. As A’s birthday is in two weeks, they’re not sure whether or not to force the issue. We’ll just see.
No pranks. Please.
Yeah, I’m not a fan of April Fools’ Day (or pranks) either. Never have been.
